Opera Crypto Browser Launched As A Beta

A new browser dedicated to cryptocurrency, called Opera Crypto, was just launched as a beta version.

The Opera Crypto Browser, which is a beta version of Opera, implements an interesting user interface to make the blockchain and its uses more understandable.

Only a tiny percentage of today’s online browsing experiences were designed with Web3 centerstage and to make blockchain technologies easy to understand and utilize. The company has launched the Opera Crypto Browser Project as a way to improve this, and they are urging members of the blockchain community to participate. Opera thinks that the Internet needs a dedicated browser that can bring Web3 to the next level.

The company says on their project page:

“We believe the web of today will be the interface to the decentralized web of tomorrow. This means we have to take an active role and responsibility to build the tools and technologies needed for this new decentralized world.”

Features of Opera Crypto Browser

Opera Crypto Browser offers a convenient and secure way to keep up with the latest news, podcasts, airdrops and events in the crypto world. With native support for non-custodial wallets and a secure clipboard, it brings the Web3 experience to a new level. Opera’s journey into Web3 continues with the launch of this beta browser.

The Opera Crypto Browser has native support for non-custodial wallets, ensuring that private keys are not shared with the browser. Linked Opera wallets can be opened directly in the browser – no extension installation required. This way you can seamlessly view the balance, send and receive funds without switching to another wallet provider or dApp explorer service.

Opened transactions can also be verified using Etherscan’s transaction history tool by copying the transaction hash from the address bar of your Opera Wallet.

The secure clipboard is a first-of-its-kind technology that allows you to copy cryptocurrency addresses and signatures without taking any risk of exposing your data. Furthermore, the Opera Crypto Browser received more features, including Layer 2 support for expanding networks. Opera launched the world’s first browser interestingly with a built-in crypto wallet four years back in 2018. Daily experiences of using the new browser for Opera users may seem somewhat familiar, as it uses some design concepts from its sister company Brave.

Citizens can use Opera Crypto wallet without needing advanced technical knowledge. A sleek, user-friendly interface makes the blockchain and its uses easy to understand and explore

Primary features at a glance

    1. Opera is continuing to work toward embedding Layer 2 into its browser as soon as possible, having previously announced a collaboration with Polygon and additional exciting Layer 2 partnerships to be revealed in the future.
    2. Opera Crypto is downloadable on the platforms for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
    3. You may also choose to use Opera’s new non-custodial wallet to access the Web, interact with it, or sign transactions.
    4. A pinboard to provide all details.
    5. There is a wallet built into the Opera crypto browser and crypto collectables, and thus the new crypto browser is integrated with Dapps
    6. Opera put its own unique spin on this project by also offering a social media experience.
    7. The new social layer which will be embedded in Opera currently allows for direct messaging between users of the Crypto Wallet

The development of Opera’s crypto plans has been incredible.

The company announced partnerships with Handshake, NEAR, Polygon and Solana as well as integration of numerous blockchains including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo and Nervos.

Simply put, it’s all about bringing the functions you’d want in third-party add-ons. One of the most intriguing aspects is that it includes decentralized applications straight to your browser without the need for installation, as well as DApps that you may use right in your browser. It has a built-in non-custodial wallet that instantly supports Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo, and Nervos blockchains. There are several more features too.

Opera crypto browser: Future opportunities

It remains to be seen if a concept like this will catch on, but it looks like a good strategy for Opera, who previously launched a gaming browser, as it allows the firm to anticipate the demand from crypto enthusiasts.

The crypto community welcomed Opera GX, the gaming browser, with open arms. It’s a specialized variant of Opera Web browser tailored particularly for gamers. It also has features to help you get the most out of your gaming and surfing sessions.

“You can now access the entire world of Web3 with Opera’s new browser,”

boasts Batt, who is also the project’s lead developer.

For now, it’s difficult to predict what will happen in future markets. The crypto ecosystem will see an influx of new users as a result, and it’ll be interesting to watch how exactly this plays out as platforms like Opera continue to evolve.

The only cryptocurrency wallet built into the Opera crypto browser keeps your data safe and makes sending cryptocurrency as easy as using an instant messenger is a new concept.

The new browser is now available for multiple platforms like PC, Mac, and Android, including iOS (which will launch soon). After you’ve bought it, you may download and test it to see if the extra features are worth it.
